Hello All! I have missed you SO MUCH!!! We have been busy, very busy starting our own business. I will tell you the entire story soon, but for today, long story short: My husband, Tim has worked in the Heating and Cooling trade all his life, like I’m talking since he was thirteen! We recently decided to embark on a the crazy adventure of starting our own Heating and Cooling Company. It has been a lot of work, but well worth all the effort, so far!!! When we decided to do this, we had a very specific idea of what we wanted to do in order to brand our company well. We did some research online and came across a branding and logo company online, and paid them a small fortune to bring our vision into some form of artwork, and after days of waiting we were very dissapointed in the results….after revisions and too much waiting, it became apparent that this specific company was unable to meet our needs.
We were down to 24 hours, our goal/deadline of needing a logo and brand was breathing down our necks. If we didn’t get a logo fast, everything else would be delayed, and that was NOT an option. I don’t know what was wrong with my brain, but it finally donned on me to check out some graphic artists on Etsy! (I know you are thinking….why are you so dense, Cory? You should have gone to Etsy first!!!)
This is where Vincent with Spellbound Fox Designs comes in….
Vincent was the first Etsy vendor of probably 10-15 that I contacted, he got back to me right away! I gave Vincent the impossible deadline of 24 hours to get us a logo and mascot. He delivered in a BIG way. I was so impressed!!!! Here is what he did…
Isn’t it awesome?! It is exactly what we had in mind, we are SO happy with the results, and just for fun, here is how it looks on the side of our first company vehicle…
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit more about Vincent and how Spellbound Fox Designs was born. This is Vincent’s story, in his own words:
Ever since I could remember, art and illustration have been my passion. Whether it be making reindeer ornaments out of clothes pins as a kid, doodling a sketch of my favorite anime character or trying my hardest to draw a portrait from a family photo, the pull to be surrounded in the creative world has always been there.
It was my freshmen year of high school when I was first approached by someone interested in hiring me for a commission. To others, it was a couple bucks here and there, but to me it was pure gold. It amazed me that someone in the community had interest in my work. From there everything expanded. I was being hired for family portraits, for character concepts in fantasy novels, children’s book illustrations and more. It was a dream come true!
Back in 2011 I set up a portfolio on a freelanced site in hopes of drawing in some customers, and what followed was nothing I had ever expected. I was contacted by a publishing company who needed artwork for children’s novels. They had worked with artists in the past who had given them nothing but heartache, yet here I am a year later promoted to the In-House Illustrator for PK Books with a few published covers up my sleeves. If my experiences over the past few years taught me anything, its’ that making art and sharing the creative world is what drives me to succeed at what I do.
I was first introduced to the world of Etsy when my siblings asked me to assist with some designs in a little shop they were planning to open. From creating custom artwork, t-shirt designs for fans, buttons, etc, I was fascinated by the amount of customers who were interested in the art-related merchandise I was turning out. Over time, The2SistersShoppe became well-known through their other items and has been thriving ever since the first kindle cover was posted. They had found their victory item, and it got me thinking. If there is such a high demand for traditionally created crafts, then how about those who are in need of digital formats? What about the companies without logos? The authors with no covers?
With that thought in mind, on October 1st 2012, Spellbound Fox Designs was born. I’m here to offer my artwork to the world, whether it be illustrations for books, logos for an upcoming company, drawings for a comic book or something more, i’m here to bring visions to reality.
